What is the Congress?
| The Latin American Congress of Local Cities and Governments “AMERICAEXPERIENCE”, is a forum opened for considering different approaches regarding important issues that are outlining the present and future of Local Governments of Latin America and the Caribbean, it shall be sponsored by several International Cooperation institutions and of the headquarters’ Government city.

The Congress is opened to all the Mayors and authorities of Local Governments of America wishing to have an inter-relation with their colleagues and learn about new trends in cities management. Objectives:
- Opportunity to Strengthen the Latin American Federation of Cities, Municipalities and Associations FLACMA as a regional organization that integrates in a unitary and equitable manner, the interests and purposes of the different sub-regional and national blocks of the municipalities.
- Positioning the Association of Local Governments of the headquarters’ country as an entity representing the national community, designer of important political scenarios and international promoter of the country.
- Generating a large promotion of the headquarters host city as a tourist destination, Investment epicenter and congresses headquarters.
- Focusing the national attention in the headquarters city and on the calling capacity of its Mayor.
- Favoring the encounter of the governmental power with the private sector generator of goods and services.
FLACMA

FLACMA is a private law non-profit international organization, with social and public objectives, developing an intensive work oriented toward strengthening local governments, cities and Local Government National Associations, it establishes cooperation relations with institutions working at promoting development and local democracy.
CNN

The National Confederation of Municipalities – CNM (abbreviation in Spanish) is a municipal entity with 26 years of existence, constituted from the contributions made by the heads of Federations, State Associations and Micro-regional municipalities who lacked a representative entity that, mainly nationwide, would defend the institutional interests of the municipal entity and would support its strengthening. The coverage condition throughout the national territory gives us legitimacy to speak on behalf of the 5,562 Brazilian municipalities.
